Cat’s out of the bag – we’re excited to announce our official proposal to open in Chamblee, GA! As seen in a recent feature by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Distillery of Modern Art plans to convert an existing 15,000-square-foot brick and metal office and warehouse building housed right off of Peachtree Road in Chamblee, GA.
Our distillery will occupy 3,000 square feet along with 7,500 square feet of event space and 2,500 square feet of pre-function and tasting room area. As the name of the project implies, we are looking at this building as a modern art piece in and of itself. As modern art is transformative and reveals itself differently to the individual, the form of the building changes its appearance from day into night. We took our design cues from Chamblee’s stated importance of the arts, as well as imagery included in the Town Center District imagery where elements of the city and buildings themselves are used as art.
