“Beyond the Threshold” unveils the experience of crossing from one space or state to another – from the familiar to unfamiliar in Rosa Obregon’s work, from moving beyond and into the frames with Daisy-Ann Dickson’s work, and from silence to music in both artists’ work.
Daisy-Anne Dickson’s work weaves intuitive and expressionistic abstraction with the art of storytelling. Her paintings explore themes of brokenness, healing, growth, renewal, and restoration, emphasizing layers, texture, motion, and color to craft a language uniquely her own.
Rosa Obregon’s artwork and themes reflect vibrancy as she explores unfamiliar and well known places in the world. Her compositions involve a combination of silhouettes, shapes, lines, circles, textures, collage techniques, spontaneity and precision, balance and harmony, and circumlinear grace.
